He contemplates a depiction of the correlation between visible objects and invisible things, and makes this his quest for the meaning of "coincidence and consequence," which he cites as evidence of why we, human beings, live under the control of nature. In the past century, the world has seen many extraordinary changes, such as great advancements in science and technology, but, in contrast, it has also been beset with chaos and tarnished by the acceleration of self-centered desires. This has often resulted in a number of unending confrontations and lamentable conflicts between countries, races and religions. If works of art continue to be desired, we need to consider the essential issues for the peoples of the earth first, such as why we live and what life means to us. The important thing is to humbly admit the indisputable truth that we have been living through symbiosis as one small part of the whole of creation, from ancient times to the world of today. Yasu Suzuka continues his quest through the creation of a style of artwork based on Oriental philosophy and spirituality.
